Short Description of My Current Work
Sul & Associates is a professional Research and Evaluation firm serving clients with culturally competent empowering practices. Sul & Associates provides technical assistance to government agencies, non-profit community-based organizations, school districts, regional clinics and other organizations serving people of color.

Sul & Associates has provided data, assessment, research and evaluation services to local educational and community-based organizations since 2001. The company combines the two broad areas of qualitative and quantitative research methods to design studies to support grant-funded program activities.

    Professional History
As a person of Native American descent, I believe that we come with natural abilities and that these abilities are meant to be shared.  I am a lifelong learner and consultant.  I come with over 20 years of community organizing experience.  While it was never my intention to take on leadership roles, community needs took precedent.  Inevitably my life turned into one of service.  I bring extensive experience in the planning and development of a number of non-profit ventures.  Areas of focus have included:  education, health and wellness and leadership development programs.  Populations served have included diverse youth populations.  I have gained significant experience in Native American, Latino and refugee populations.  I am primarily interested in supporting agents of change who are making a difference in our society.

Education – I bring to the table a Master of Arts degree in Mexican-American Studies with an emphasis in Multi-Cultural Studies, a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Service Administration from the College of Notre Dame-Namur and extensive legal studies from McGeorge School of Law, Santa Clara Law School and Vienna School of Law.

    Professional Expertise/ Passions
EVALUATION WORK - As a result of this experience, I now run a consulting firm offering evaluation and research practices meant to support positive outcomes and empower the efforts of others.  My area of research focuses on the design and implementation of holistic methodologies. I provide technical assistance with organizational analysis, program evaluation and development, focus group facilitation and qualitative data interpretation. All of this is tied to my passion, seeing others succeed, support powerful work by offering information that might help guide.
